How to get to Lipari

To reach the Aeolian Islands you can travel by hydrofoil or by boat.

Sicily is well connected by air to the rest of the world, but it is also possible to get there by train, through the dense network of highways, or by sea from Naples.

There are connections between all the main cities with frequent daily flights, if you prefer to reach Sicily by plane. Our advice is to land at Catania airport and to continue towards the harbour of Milazzo by bus or private collective transfers.

You can reach the Aeolian islands, by sea and by hydrofoil, also from the harbours of Naples, Messina, Palermo and Reggio Calabria and by boat from the harbour of Milazzo.

Bringing a car for a short period is not worthwhile: we suggest that you leave your car on Sicily mainland and rent another car as you get to the Island.
